Carpentry & Custom Builds

Joe builds real custom carpentry, not just installs it: cabinets, furniture, framed walls, and finish trim, often starting from rough lumber.

Custom carpentry is where Joe's woodworking shows up the most. He's built oak vanities, a rough-sawn oak shelf and beam feature stained and clear-coated on site, a 700-CD storage cabinet, a coffee bar credenza, and custom shelving units, most of it from raw lumber he mills and finishes himself. For full custom kitchen cabinetry, he partners with a trusted Amish craftsman who builds the cabinets, while Joe handles the demo, installation, and countertops. On the structural side he's framed dividing walls to create new offices, removed non-load-bearing walls and installed custom false beams and transition strips, and built out commercial storage and framing for local businesses.

This is also where his welding and fabrication background crosses over. When a job needs something built that wood alone can't handle, like a steel-reinforced stand under a 250-gallon water tank or a custom trailer conversion, Joe fabricates the metal frame himself instead of bringing in a separate welder. If you need something built and you're not sure which trade it falls under, that's usually a sign it's exactly the kind of job Joe takes.
